		<description>Absence makes the heart grow fonder, I suppose. An eighteen year hiatus worked for Marilynne Robinson when &lt;em&gt;Gilead&lt;/em&gt; scooped the Pulitzer a few years back. Why shouldn't it work for Garner?

Seriously, it's good to see the book getting some recognition, even if it is on home soil. I'd have liked to see it on the Booker, but what's done is done, and after sampling most titles on that list, I'm done with that.</description>
